Understanding Our Support
To make the most of our volunteer support, it's important to understand where we can help and what you'll need to manage yourself.
Our Key Partner
Beautifully Unapologetic Support is an incredible organisation that volunteers their staff time and professional expertise to serve our community β completely free of charge. Their experienced housing advisors and welfare specialists choose to give their knowledge to help residents who need it most. This is an act of genuine generosity and community spirit.
Please treat every Beautifully Unapologetic Support volunteer with patience and respect. They are here because they care β and their capacity, while generous, is limited. We ask that residents use this support only for what they genuinely need help with.

To manage expectations clearly, please understand that Floating Community Hub and Beautifully Unapologetic Support are not the following:
We do not have houses, flats, or rooms to allocate. We cannot guarantee housing placements, benefit awards, or council decisions. Our role is to guide, support, and empower β the final decisions always rest with the relevant authorities. Misrepresenting your circumstances to obtain support may result in assistance being withdrawn.
Urgent Support
If you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, please take these steps immediately β do not wait.
Ask to make a homelessness application. You have a legal right to be assessed under the Housing Act. Do not delay β the sooner you contact them, the more options may be available to you.
Do this first β todaySearch Rightmove, Zoopla, SpareRoom, and local letting agents. Do not rely solely on social housing β the waiting list can be very long. Private renting may be quicker.
Collect your passport, birth certificate, proof of address, bank statements, and any letters related to your housing situation. You'll need these for any application.
If you have children, a disability, a health condition, or are fleeing domestic violence β tell the council. This may affect your priority and the level of support you are entitled to.
Reach out to Floating Community Hub or Beautifully Unapologetic Support if you need assistance completing paperwork, understanding your options, or preparing your supporting documents.
